6 newly launched products to look out for at World of Concrete
January 20, 2025
World of Concrete 2025 is returning to the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada, US, from 21-24 January, and the annual expo is set to showcase the latest innovations in the construction and concrete industries, bringing together professionals, manufacturers, and suppliers from around the globe.
The event offers a unique platform for unveiling cutting-edge products, technologies, and solutions designed to shape the future of construction.
Here’s a listing of some of this year’s newer product launches and showcases in the concrete and accessories world.
1. Caterpillar introduces next-generation telehandlers
Perhaps one of the most intriguing new product launches is coming from Caterpillar, which is also celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
The world’s largest OEM by sales will be rolling out its next-generation telehandlers at World of Concrete 2025.
Caterpillar said these new models are designed with enhanced performance features, including advanced telematics, more powerful lifting capabilities, and a more fuel-efficient engine.
The next-gen telehandlers include the TH0642, TH0842, TH1055 and TH1255.
The next-gen telehandlers come equipped with Caterpillar’s latest telematics system, allowing fleet managers to track performance, maintenance, and fuel consumption in real time.
With various load capacities and lifting heights, the new telehandlers offer increased versatility for tasks ranging from material handling to precise positioning.
“Our goal with the next gen Cat Telehandlers is to deliver a safe, reliable, smooth and comfortable range of machines that are easy to use and maintain,” said Caterpillar.
2. Bosch launches new cordless product line
Bosch Power Tools will unveil a new range of cordless tools and accessories designed to improve on-site productivity and efficiency. The product line incorporates innovations aimed at providing increased power, battery life, and ease of use for construction professionals.
The new line-up will include drills, grinders, saws, and measuring tools, each incorporating Bosch’s latest advancements in battery technology.
The cordless tools are designed to meet the demanding requirements of the construction industry, focusing on mobility, reliability, and performance.
Bosch will also provide an interactive experience at their booth, where visitors can participate in hands-on demonstrations and live challenges, showcasing the capabilities of these new products in real-world conditions.
“These tools are designed to deliver enhanced power, battery life, and mobility for professionals on the job site, ensuring greater productivity and efficiency,” said Bosch.
3. Terex unveils Challenger front discharge mixer
Terex Advance will introduce the Challenger front discharge mixer.
Designed for large-scale construction projects, the Challenger combines a compact footprint with the performance needed for urban and residential applications.
The mixer features a Cummins B6.7 engine delivering 325 horsepower, a 6x2 rear engine configuration for improved traction, and a 6-yd3 federal bridge capacity. Key specifications include a 186-inch wheelbase, 31.5-foot turning radius, and a 150-inch height.
Terex said the Challenger was designed for efficiency, with features like an automated wash system and a 125-gallon pressurized water tank. Its reduced size improves manoeuvrability, fuel efficiency, and helps limit road and street damage.
David Grabner, general manager at Terex Advance, said, “Its reduced footprint doesn’t just mean easier navigation — it translates to improved fuel efficiency and reduced road and street damage, and a significantly quieter operational platform.”
4. Wirtgen Group to premiere SP 33 in two variations
Wirtgen Group announced it will showcase its SP 33 slipform concrete paver in two configurations: Offset and Crosspave.
Due to the fully modular construction concept, the unit can pave monolithic concrete profiles such as curbs and berms, rectangular profiles, concrete safety barriers up to a height of 1.3m (52 in), and drainage and gutter profiles.
In the Offset paving configuration, it can pave concrete slabs with a pave width of up to 2.2 metres (7 feet), also in combination with a Trimmer up to 2.4 metres (8 feet) wide.
The Crosspave version can pave slabs up to a width of 3 metres (10 feet) transversely to the direction of travel of the machine. Both solutions can be controlled by the operating concept with an event-driven graphic display.
The ECO mode detects every working situation without the need for manual intervention by the operator and ensures automatic, load-optimised regulation of engine output for what Wirtgen says is, “optimum engine efficiency, maximum fuel economy, and low noise emissions.”
The operator is further assisted by the AutoPilot 2.0 control system. The two crawler units with parallelogram swing legs at the front and a laterally adjustable crawler unit at the rear enable zero-clearance installation and maximum flexibility, meaning it can be used on construction sites that demand a high degree of maneuverability and the paving of tight radii.
5. Bobcat to showcase versatile equipment line-up
Bobcat is set to highlight a wide range of machines and attachments at World of Concrete. The exhibit will feature the Bobcat B760 backhoe loader, the T86 compact track loader, and multiple portable power products.
The B760, launched in late 2024, is designed to offer the deepest digging depth in its size class, the company said.
“The B760 offers the most digging depth in its size class and comes with a standard-equipped extendable arm. Its performance and versatility extend throughout the machine, with the front-end loader providing a lift capacity of 7,985 lbs with its standard, general purpose bucket,” said Bobcat. “The B760’s powerful backhoe and loader breakout forces result in confident digs to conquer the most challenging construction and concrete job site tasks, including excavation, site preparation, material handling, trenching, and more.”
The T86 compact track loader will also make it to Vegas. It includes three hydraulic flow options—standard, high, and super flow—making it compatible with a range of attachments, such as Bobcat’s grader, which integrates TopCon laser receivers for precise grading.
Bobcat will also present its portable power solutions, including the PA185V air compressor, PG50 generator, and PL65 light tower. Additional equipment on display will include the MT100 mini track loader, S76 skid-steer loader, E38 compact excavator, and a variety of light compaction products. The TR75 trench roller will also debut its redesigned remote control, featuring intuitive controls, an updated design, and a new display for improved usability.
6. Develon to show compact equipment and wheel loader
Develon will feature three machines this year, including a compact track loader, mini excavator, and wheel loader, as well as a range of attachments.
The DTL35 compact track loader will be displayed with a grapple and angle broom, while the DX62R-7 mini excavator will come with a breaker attachment. The DL280-7 wheel loader will be equipped with a three-yard bucket, showcasing the company’s exclusive Transparent Bucket feature, which can be activated from within the machine’s cab.
“World of Concrete attendees can get hands-on with our compact equipment, which is perfect for excavating and grading tasks in the construction industry, as well as our 3.7-yd3 wheel loader,” said Winta Bereket, marketing manager at Develon.
Develon will also highlight its DX62R-7 mini excavator, which offers an enclosed cab with heat and air conditioning for operator comfort during demanding tasks.
