SAIA reveals 3-year strategic plan

The Scaffold & Access Industry Association has unveiled an ambitious three-year strategic plan aimed at solidifying its position as the global leader in promoting safety and best practices within the scaffold and access industry. The plan outlines a clear vision for the future and sets forth actionable goals to achieve it.
“It is through the collective effort of each one of you that we will achieve our goals,” SAIA President Mike Bredl said. “Your expertise, your passion, and your dedication are the pulse of this association, and I encourage you to review our strategic plan and share your ideas, as we work together to ensure that we continue to be a beacon of excellence in our industry.”
With the development and board approval, the road map has been established, concentrating on the following:
- Brand Awareness and Messaging
- Technology
- Member Development
- Workforce Development
Goals for each of the four areas include:
BRAND AWARENESS
WHY: To encourage attract, engage and promote awareness for the Association.
HOW: Grow through new partnerships with additional industry associations and various additional routes; Expand and maintain a social media presence; Increase Annual Convention & Exposition attendance to 800, a 29 percent increase over 2024’s levels and; Increase revenue by 10 percent year-over-year through 2027.
TECHNOLOGY
WHY: To provide user-friendly tools, to disseminate content and information and to keep the SAIA relevant.
HOW: Launch new SAIA website by Jan. 2, 2026; Launch mobile application by March 1, 2026; Increase unique visitors to website by 25% between Jan. 2, 2026 and April 1, 2026; Achieve 250 app downloads by August 1, 2026 and; Increase resources accessed from the website by 25 percent between Jan. 2, 2026, and April 1, 2026.
MEMBER DEVELOPMENT
WHY: Member development and growth underpins the 2027 strategic plan.
HOW: Increase qualified volunteers by 28 percent from 150 to 180 by Dec. 31, 2025; Develop and conduct two internal training sessions by Feb. 28, 2025; Hold five regional meetings by the Board of Directors, Councils and ATIs by Dec. 31, 2025 and; Develop and conduct new and existing member orientation to be held twice a year.
WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
WHY: Workforce development and growth underpins the 2027 strategic plan.
HOW: Increase students from 5,000 to 6,655 by Dec. 31, 2027 at 500+ increments per year; Launch an apprenticeship program and; Secure 250 active participants in apprenticeship program.
