Ferreycorp obtains anti-bribery certification

Ferreycorp and its subsidiaries – Ferreyros, Unimaq, Orvisa, Ferrenergy, Soltrak, Fargoline, Forbis Logistics and Sitech – have been recognised with the Anti-Bribery Certification of Entrepreneurs for Integrity.

The certification was granted after external audits carried out by an independent entity

According to the company, this achievement underlines its commitment to ethics and transparency in all its operations and its intention to promote these values throughout its value chain.

Ferreycorp SAA, is a Peru-based company engaged in the import, distribution, sale, leasing and maintenance of construction, mining, agricultural and transport equipment and vehicles, such as tractors, trucks and excavators under Caterpillar, Paus, Terex, Metso, and others.

Ferreyros, Caterpillar distributor in Peru since 1942, was the first to receive this certification in 2019, gradually followed by the other companies of the conglomerate.

The certification was granted after external audits carried out by an independent entity, which verified the implementation of a bribery prevention model in accordance with Peruvian legislation and the guidelines of the Superintendence of the Securities Market (SMV).

During the audits, Ferreycorp and its subsidiaries demonstrated the existence and efficient management of an anti-corruption regulatory system. This includes a Code of Ethics, a Corporate Compliance Policy, a complaints channel, and training programs for collaborators and suppliers.

“In Peru you can have healthy and successful businesses with ethical and transparent actions. The Business Anti-Bribery Certification for Integrity is relevant and necessary in our country, since a third party validates good practices within the organization and encourages their strengthening,” said Mariela García de Fabbri, general manager of Ferreycorp.

“At the same time, we have been working with this association to promote a business integrity movement and encourage companies within our value chain to adopt these standards,” she added.
