SAIA crowns top team in Scaffold Builders Competition
January 24, 2025
The 2025 Scaffold & Access Industry Association’s (SAIA) Scaffold Builders Competition, held Jan. 22 during World of Concrete, saw Scaffold Resource take home the coveted first-place title. Sponsored by AT-PAC, the annual competition brought together 17 elite teams from across the U.S. that showcased their best.
Teams competed in two rounds that saw the top five advance to a knockout phase. During the final knockout phase, teams were given new, previously unseen build plans for the final scaffold structure.
Scaffold Resource set the fastest scaffold erection time at 31 minutes and 14 seconds with no penalties. The team also had a dismantling time of 18 minutes and 40 seconds, which saw their total up-and-down time clock out at 49 minutes and 54 seconds, earning them the top spot with a 5-minute lead.
“Our success wasn’t just about speed—it was about working safely, efficiently, and with a focus on quality every step of the way,” Scaffold Resource said of its victory.
Coming in second place was Leading Edge Scaffold, followed by Bechel who secured the third spot on the podium.
Judged by a panel of industry experts, teams were evaluated on precision, safety, teamwork, time and overall efficiency.
